Well, i was finding like 2+ items pretty much daily. That's crazy. Have 134 mf on this barb, cause i use 37 mf gheed's. We will see how many items i will have left when i end doing baalruns. It doesn't matter cause i will still need to farm pits, but that's pretty interesting how low you can get not even doing mf runs xD

Yeah, I have no idea, I just could not post the upper table with 99s characters. Some sort of error occured, tried it several times. Anyways another HC sorc on its way. I try to post updates, when something exciting happens, hopefully not death

Btw what does E/S and S/U mean?

Btw what does E/S and S/U mean?

E/S is extended stash (GoMule etc) and S/U is set and uniques, so for the grail, which is to find every set and unique

IpBanPrevales is slowly leveling towards level 96, as she restarted a part of LK farming in order to get the two lacking Sur for Infinity, with a radio 1hour LK per 3 hours of Baal running.

Disclosure of stuff will be made at half of the level or at lvl 96, based upon my luck at getting those Surs. For now, my runs (LK and Baal) gave me Um max runes, but a nice trap lifer and other resists charms of interest. But it is about 300 LK runs only, so I'm not fcked up on my target for now.

Nice continued progress, everyone! As for me, double update incoming!

Quinta completed the first quarter level on Nihl without too much excitement. An NDE shortly after 98.15 made me realize she didn't have corpse recovery kit, which has since been rectified and thankfully not needed. Drops for the quarter level were dreadful, with Lo and Pul being the only Pul+ runes. This is an apt representation of how things have gone so far:

Thankfully, she had picked up a Mal at the beginning of the level when farming Diablo essences, so now only a Mal short of being able to make CoH for the merc. Other drops meriting screenshots were minimal, actually only one: Stormlash. Except for the Pul, all of those were in the first 15M of the level. So things can only improve, right?

In fairness, she picked up a few elite uniques (Boneflame, Leviathan, etc.) and set B-K sword, and a nice 2os eth Giant Skull and Wisp Projector. She also picked up a nice Natural skiller:

I’ll keep plugging away with her, hoping to hit 98.4 before leaving for vacation in mid-October. Work is really busy again, so I’m not sure 15M/week will be doable, but that’s the goal, with the mini-RFL an added incentive to get some runs in.

Patriarch Death and Hazade the A2 Might Merc, Lvl 95 (pic)
Death also got some time, focusing on Baal for the last half of the level. He hadn’t made any progress since his last update in July, and started getting time again at the beginning of this month.

He did a little CS early on, picking up the set Vortex Shield. He also threw in some LK runs because this Baal map was a nice 2-fire map near the WP, and he still needs a Vex-Lo for merc’s Fortitude, picking up an Um for this stretch of LK. And nothing worth mentioning from Baal runs, which isn't too surprising.

He’s picking up flawless amethysts/rubies and relevant runes, hoping for a lucky craft (5+ FCR and ML amulet is interesting for Nihl runs, as are a nice pair of blood gloves).

Minor progress tonight - took a break from classic wow to do some NM baal runs and go from 70-77 on Dazliare. I found Rixot's Keen so that was cool. I did some cows as well just to see how it went, hoping for a decent spirit shield base but no luck

I don't have too much of a plan yet - I dipped into Hell just to see how it went. I tried a Pit run but almost died, so definitely need to hold off there. I expect LK to be a bit safer but not by much, so I may continue with baal runs just for xp. Going into LK at lvl 80 or 81 would feel a lot better. Hell Mephisto would probably be ok too, though at 77 with poor resists I don't feel safe doing that just yet. I'll need to work out some kind of basic gear set for hell MFing that gives better resists than I currently have. Treachery would be a good choice if I luck out on a Lem

Awesome progress everyone! Man, people are seriously moving in this thread, and some great finds too which is always nice to see. Keep it up folks!

I'm really starting to run out of creative ways to say that Klaus finished another 10%. I will say though, that this is the first point that I really feel like the end is approaching. I thought that once I started nearing the end of all these runs that I would be having less fun, but that's not the case. Sure there are times where I'd rather rip my own eyeballs out than look upon Nihlathak's pale crusty face one more time, but overall I'm still enjoying Klaus' running, and he's even been finding some decent stuff lately so that has helped keep the motivation consistent.

Klaus must be feeling the effects of 10k+ Nihlathak runs too, as he began seeing double with not one but two Nos coils to start things off. These were followed by a Reapers, Gladiator's Bane (again, he's finding these like mad lately), and yet another set of robes:

More minor progress tonight! I'm 78, and did a few NM P3 Cows and Meph runs just to see what came up with no luck.

I then finished A1 in Hell, but had several NDE's due to low resists. Andariel herself is really easy but getting to her is very dangerous, so that's probably not a good target until I get better resists. I could probably do NM cows for a few runes to make Treachery, but I'm not a big fan of cows in general. NM Trav might be ok too, with the added chance of skillers, but I'm just not sure. My resists in hell are really bad right now - I've been hoping to find a paladin shield with @res that I could make Rhyme or Spirit in, but haven't found much yet

My next few goals:

Max resists in hell (spirit or rhyme in a pally shield are probably the best bet here)
Find runes for Treachery and Lawbringer (Need Ko and 2x Lem)
Run AT with a lawbringer barbarian merc to see how it goes and maybe get a few lucky items
LK runs for all dem roonz

Still doing NM Baal/Cows which is super boring, though I did find a few neat items along the way that I didn't expect. I also found a 15@ amulet that helps a good bit with resists

I'll try a few countess runs just to see how it goes. If that's safe, I'll try it for a few starter runes

Reporting back - countess can be done safely, but not very consistently. Fairly often I'll be surrounded by something with amp damage on the way down and have to S&E, then if the countess herself spawns with conviction it's an automatic retry.

I had forgotten how different the game is when you don't twink at all. I haven't played a non-tournament character in a longggg time, and previous to that I played almost entirely twinked, so this is a really new experience.

A paladin shield would help a lot, though certainly not as much as just getting more levels. I could continue that grind at Baal, but it's getting fairly slow and I'd rather try some AT with a Lawbringer merc. Never tried that, and it could be bad, but I'm hopeful. Hell Meph is an option here soon too, though I would need a good map to keep it relatively safe and definitely need more resistances. A staff with teleport charges would help with that a lot too, though that can be shopped

Well, I decided it was time to enter the seventh character, a Fire Druid named Septimus. He got his start in the Overburdened tourney, making it through death-free. Progress, etc. was highlighted in his Pat thread here.

He finished things up at ~84.5. Gear was poor due to playthough with no extended stash and his drops along the way, so limited +skills, limited MF, no Insight for merc, etc. He also hadn’t picked up runeword bases, so he was without 4os bow or insight base.

I tested out targets in NM and Hell at low psettings as a break off-and-on through August: NM Meph, Hell Andy, Hell Meph, AT, Hell LK, Hell Pindle, NM and Hell Cows. That saw him a little ways into level 85. Unfortunately, he couldn’t even take on NM Meph very well, although that did provide a Goldwrap. And other Act bosses weren’t really workable for extended runs. But he also picked up a 30MF Nagelring along the way. So p1 Pindle it was, with a shopped wand of Lower Resist up to lvl 86 a few weeks ago, with no gear upgrades.

After Quinta hit 98.25 this weekend, I decided to hold off on more Nihl runs until mini RFL started, and wasn’t feeling Baal runs. So I went back to He then ran some LK, hoping for bases (he had runes for Insight and Harmony) and taking on boss packs. He got an amulet upgrade (+3 elemental with dexterity), Pul #1, Skullder’s, a second skiller, and finally a Harmony base. He had also picked up just shy of 50 runes by this point and some decent resist charms, plus a really nice 123 AR/40 vita GC that Death would have appreciated.

Most importantly, he picked up Sur #1 and his LK map also had a rack that dropped CVs about 1-out-of-3 times and the occasional Thresher. About halfway through, he finally rolled a CV 4os in the cube, but the merc didn’t have strength to equip until Naj circlet dropped from a boss pack. But an eth CV had dropped by that point, which also picked up 4os. The merc lost life leech until a 3os armor finally dropped allowing Lionheart and a switch back to circlet with leech.

With those upgrades, Septimus returned to pindle at p5 and hit 87 on Wednesday. He then rolled a new and improved LK map, equipped Harmony, shopped a teleport staff, and finished a spectacular 50-rune set that produced Pul #2, Mal #1, Sur #2 from a poppable, and Gul #1. There were also some vita SCs and slight resist charm upgrades. So 1/3 of the way to Enigma, and only a Gul needed for HotO!

LK has actually been a pleasant break, so I expect to get more 25- or 50-rune sets in here and there, and potentially hitting pindle to gain a level if runes fall for HotO. The AT entrance is also pretty close to that WP, so he may test out p1 AT runs for levels, which worked well for the fire druid on my laptop.

He’s playing with extended stash now, and is still death-free, which is a goal to keep throughout this journey.
