Amazing job, just to echo the praise already heaped on the accomplishment with Klaus. It's very cool to have a HC character join the untwinked 99er Table of Heroes (and a Druid while we're at it). And that roll at 2:50 was nasty (as I've learned with my zon), so I'm really glad that pushing for those XP points didn't end up costing Klaus his life

Druids are tough, but only really in the sense that you need patience. As I learned they can be extremely safe, so dying isn't a huge concern. That kill speed isn't going to be winning any awards though, that's for sure. It's wild to me that nobody has done one since the original Windy, so that begs the question; who's next?
It's now immortalized as a little lesson on what NOT to do. Normally I would have aborted that run, but I knew that I only had one more run before going for the Baal kill, so I didn't want to 'waste' the XP. The exact wrong mentality to have, of course, and I'm quite happy it didn't end up worse.

Cleaned it up and it's running quieter and better. No crashes, etc. Dusted off TheLongRun and got her halfway to 93 so I'm guessing on the XP since it is basically between 1.92 and 2.08 xp.
Got 2 Gul runes upon returning and promptly cubed them into a Vex for a middle of the road Hoto with +35 resist all. Good replacement for the Oculus. I don't mind losing MF as long as I don't get hit-teleported into instant death.

I'm still hanging out in LK.
Not much luck in the Skiller dept, well, these are nice, but not for my hammerdin.
I finally made my CtA this week (+4 BO) cubing a boatload of runes from Lum up to a Vex I finally stumbled across. Of course just a couple days after that I saw my first higher run with an Ohm on Thursday. No screen shot for that, there was a boss pack in the hut. I did die before I got to it but came back and grabbed my body and the rune and got out.
Friday, on my very LK run, my luck improved. Two more days like this and I'm off to the races. I'm sure that won't happen, but I'm getting closer.

My barb reached lvl 98 yesterday after ~2046 baalruns (~130 hours).

I am currently farming for the second Sur Rune to make Beast and farm Nihlathak to get lvl 99. I had crafting blood gloves in mind long ago, since LoH does nothing against Nihla. The other reason to craft them is that I haven't found or gambled fcr/mana leech ring. Thankfully, after like 20 crafts I got Havoc Claw which you can see below.
Pretty cool gloves for nihla i think. Mana leech was mandatory (cause of the lack of the ring) and 20 IAS gets me to the next breakpoint for Conc when Nihla has Holy Freeze. Other stats are trash, but 2 out of 4 affixes is still a good result imo. CB could be higher, but whatever.
When I get that Sur Rune, I will make Beast in 5os War Scepter (preferably eth), cause it has relatively low str req, doesn't require dex and is -10 WSM which will help my attack speed against Holy Freeze Nihla. I have some cool gear with "damage reduced by X" mod, but will show it in the next update. Of course i've got some nice items. You can see them below.
I've also got those 2 claws and maybe some good assassin player's can say anything about them.
Down to 61 items on my Grail.
I hope to get to lvl 99 till the end of November, but we will see if that happens.

Anyway, i hav a question, and its actually not really a ut 99 related one but anyway:
I know 3rd party programs arent allowed in general but i still wanna ask if that Twitch Plugin called "Diablo 2 Item Display" is prolly fine, cause if it is, i guess i would try it. Saw it on some other streamers and its pretty nice to quickly see what hes wearing. With an assist from a 20-hour Mini RFL set to get most of the progress, Quinta completed the next quarter of the level to 98.5. The rundown of the Mini RFL set (minus qualifiers) is here.
I’ll avoid spoiling the Mini RFL qualifiers, which were nothing spectacular, but other drops meriting screenshots from this stretch were: Sur #1 before RFL, Shadow Dancer as a nice surprise during RFL, a CoH made after RFL (Ber had been found before, so no spoiler there), and then Jah #1 in the last 2M.
She has somehow managed to get not a single charm upgrade from Nihl so far, which is disappointing. But she’s picked up lots of other elite S/Us, including a set Corona and set Sacred Armor, plus a few eth items to fill out my eth grail.
A few NDEs, but she’s fairly safe, even with a more aggressive style that has netted ~2.9M/hr since the last half of RFL. So a little more than 50 hours to go (Ancient quest XP is not available). But we’re leaving tomorrow for a three-week vacation, so no D2 for a while. But then we’ll see if she can ping 99 before the year is out.

I’ll avoid spoiling the Mini RFL qualifiers, which were nothing spectacular, but other drops meriting screenshots from this stretch were: Sur #1 before RFL, Shadow Dancer as a nice surprise during RFL, a CoH made after RFL (Ber had been found before, so no spoiler there), and then Jah #1 in the last 2M.
She has somehow managed to get not a single charm upgrade from Nihl so far, which is disappointing. But she’s picked up lots of other elite S/Us, including a set Corona and set Sacred Armor, plus a few eth items to fill out my eth grail.
A few NDEs, but she’s fairly safe, even with a more aggressive style that has netted ~2.9M/hr since the last half of RFL. So a little more than 50 hours to go (Ancient quest XP is not available). But we’re leaving tomorrow for a three-week vacation, so no D2 for a while. But then we’ll see if she can ping 99 before the year is out.
