Played IpBanPrevales a bit, doing Baal runs on /p3 (most xp/min). I maybe shall try Nihlathak, at that rate I calculated that i'll put something like 40+hours total to make the 95 to 96 leveling oO

I'm sure it looked like I've forgotten about this but I've been plugging away slowly. I dislike untwinked leveling (I dislike twinked leveling too actually) but I'm finally beginning to make progress. I put together HotO today and think its about time to visit Meph for a bit.
I do have one question for all you experienced folks, is it better to continue to run LK for ages on end (my luck has been terrible so far) to pickup enigma or start in on heavy leveling (CS in my case) and hope the runes drop sometime before you reach 99?

Congrats on the progress and the HoTo! I think it's generally more efficient time-wise to wait it out in LK to at least get enigma (and possibly Infinity depending on the build). For your case (Hammerdin), nothing will change the game quite like an Enigma, and you will likely more than make up the hours spent in LK with more efficient running post-Enigma. Add in LK being a really damn good shot at getting relevant skillers and I'd say it's a slam dunk to grind out LK for the Enigma.
That said, sanity counts in these types of things, so there's no harm in switching it up for a bit and hoping for a long-shot rune or two (or at least a good base) somewhere else. Klaus found a Jah in the Mausoleum, I know @NanoMist found his final Ber for Infinity on his Trapper in the Pits, and I'm sure this thread is littered with other examples of similar situations. CS is an interesting one to walk, as you can get some decent bosspacks long the way in the RoF and the CS, but you can also roll a decent Pits map and run them too until the early 90s.
TL;DR - LK is most efficient, but follow your heart elsewhere if you want.
@jjscud My Trapper also found a Jah in the Pit before Enigma, and my zon found Bers in Cows and WSK runs before Enigma. In general, I ran LK until I needed a break and then ran targets for a while before reverting to LK, hoping for nice runes, but mostly to not burn out. It paid off in a big way for the trapper and zon on runes, not so much for others (minus the sorc, who didn't really need lots of those after CtA and HotO). But I found the break with my pally in RoF chests (hitting 3-4 boss packs on the way) a welcome break that wasn't too bad on XP.

@jjscud What @Pb_pal and @PhineasB said. LK is by far most efficient, but if you are anything like me, and can't really stand the LK grind for too long (I hated it, especially on a running character), definitely switch it up with other runs. With my untwinked HC Hammerdin I eventually gave up on LK and did Travincal instead. I needed Ber or 2x Sur to finish that Enigma, but got lucky and found a Jah instead, so even had Surs to spare all of sudden .

Changed my strategy on baalruns a bit, i usually teleport back to the beginning of baals room at wave 4 kill kill wave 4 there, so i hav as many corpses as i want from w4 for wave 5, feels pretty funny to play for me^^
Drops: Rbf 3/5 fire, NW 15%, raven, Dungo, Tombreaver 2 sox, circlet +3 pc 10 faster castrate, Windforce, Um, Ist, Templars Might, Giant Skull, Heavens light.

Hello Guys!
The time for update has come... My barb is currently lvl 97,75. I changed from 1 point into war cry to max war cry build and played a little bit with it (needed some variety I guess xD). Both setups have their pros and cons (nothing special here), but I think that max war cry build has better potential, it just requires some practice. The biggest problem is mana burn wave 5 (it's so annoying). You can get rid of that partially with recasting maxed war cry, but that requires pretty good spawn (hard to do it properly when minions are spread all over the place).
I am planning to hit lvl 98 in 3 weeks (going on a 10 day vacation, so no progress for me XD). Can't wait to do some nihlathak runs, cause I am a little bit bored after almost 1,8k baalruns on this barb and over 1,2k runs on another one done within like 6 months... Every update requires some sick drops and I must say that this barb is so lucky. I can't believe it. You can find the screenshots and youtube videos below, if You are interested.
Will make getting cham rune to put in shako a little bit easier.

XD I can officially say that this barb found 2 schaeffer's hammers before stone crusher (which i found shortly after them) and azurewrath before lightsabre. Got lucky after like 20 attempts and rolled 4os in eth GPA (insight base for my future pitzerker's merc). Down to 68 items left on the grail list and i haven't even started farming pits. Maybe someone can say if finding this many rare items is totally normal when doing baalruns, cause i am not that sure anymore...

@ResTTe I would say that’s a solid haul for 97-97.75, assuming you don’t have high MF (as is likely with Barb). Congrats!
For comparison, in recent MFO, my zon got 5 TC87s over 97.25-98, and Vildecor got similar results (but higher MFO score) with slightly more Baal runs. I suspect the zons had higher MF than your Barb though (true for my Barb who’s nearing 95 and has <150 MF, compared to my zon who was ~200 MF).

I agree that haul is very good, @ResTTe! Most of the TC87s I've seen in Baal runs were dropped by the waves, as Baal is a crappy target for TC87s.
I'm also very jealous of that eth Titan's.
