Being able to predict how an anti-town player is trying to win the game only solidifies someone as an anti-town player.
I was on to Ankeli winning with the mafia. I was on to you as being mafia. Ankeli kept talking about how we needed to lynch the secret headcrab. He would have named a townie and won the game much earlier.
In order to support this, Ankeli likely would have said you were targeted for night kill some night and therefor you couldn't be mafia. You staying alive could mean nothing more than Val's research worked on another player, like how Val's research appeared to protect CG.
