Hello,
I know. The excitement is in the air. The launch is either live or about to in the next few hours for many of us and it seems that some are chomping at the bits to start in the most random of ways. Glorious is all I can say.
So previous edition for those new around here, returning, just want to see what is going on, or to relive your glory or defeat: https://www.purediablo.com/forums/t...-2020-stay-shelter-in-place-home-edition.270/. This tournament has been going on for quite some time, with a new yearly integration stated last year and will continue until for quite sometime. Sometimes minor modifications are made (Such as from Single-pass only to optional re-running) and major changes such as the skill change this year.
Are you daring enough to enter and play Diablo the way it was intended? No idea what your doing because everything is a random pile coming your way? Love that unique? To bad can't equip. Want to go easy and do a furyzon, well you didn't get lightning fury. Embrace the suck, press your luck, and hope that they drops fall your way, and if they don't? Re-enter until your eyes bleed from getting rolled a Shockweb Assassin with Weapon Block, Psyhic Hammer, Venom, Blade Sentinel, and Cobra Strike.

A couple weeks ago I made this random table on our trusty random.org (Color coded though for easy of use!)
You will get rolled 5 sets of skills: Choose one set to be available through all difficulties and you have 4 others that you can use one time each (so one difficulty you'll get three sets of 3)
What about overlap of skills? Rolls were not in your favor.
Skills trees by class:
Always start left-right and go down. Example: Firebolt (11), Warmth (12), Inferno (13), Blaze (14), Fireball (15), Firewall (16), Enchant (17), Meteor (18), Fire Mastery (19), Hydra (20).
Each character then is rolled a Helm, Armor, Shield, Gloves, Belt, Boots, class specific item, and 3 weapons from two different weapon types (from the list)
Roll Codes For items (For Armor, 1-3)
Random character rolling rules for weapons (unless player wants specific weapon types rolled.)
General Rules:
1. D2R is recommended for this tournament, though 1.13/1.14 is allowed for non-D2R owners (May play on PC or console versions, where the SP goes normally please also at PC/X/P/N.)
2. Hardcore only
3. Any player setting is allowed, please no cheese for popping chest.
4. No MP
5. Rerunning is allowed, you may also play as single-pass (Please use SP in front of name if we get a character bracket going)
6. You may not re-run a previous difficulty once you leave your current one.
7. You are allowed to go back to a previous difficulty to complete a quest(Imbue, Socket, etc)
8. Any merc allowed. They must use your Armor, Helm, Shield. Weapon is not included in this as it can unfairly balance mercenaries, but you are free to keep mercenary restriction to your rolls.
9. Starter equipment may be used.
10. Replays are allowed, and no maximum tries. You may replay your last roll if you choose too.
11. Some one else must roll you up.
12.Re-roll: You are allowed to get a tournament skill set, weapon, and armor choice re-rolled once per character. Example: You get Sash chosen as belt, and choose re-roll, it can be anything, including a sash again. Sometimes fate decides for you. Must be done at beginning of character.
13*. Atma/GoMule is allowed as an extended stash only ----D2R all you stash maybe used, including extra tabs.
14*. FAM is allowed
15. No save and exit when your about to bite the dust.

- Your character has random skills and equipment that they are able to use as well as your mercenary's equipment. This is not an easy tournament. (Consult tables below if it is your first time rolling, feel free to ask questions and look at other rolls to get an idea if you want to partake on rolling other players up)
- Each character is rolled a Helm, Armor, Shield, Gloves, Belt, Boots, class specific item per the below tables on Random.org
- 3 weapons from two different weapon types (from the tables below for weapon list)
- You are then rolled (5) random sets of skills from the list of 100. (Random.org and do 5 rolls on 1-100, reroll and duplicate set).
- You may not roll your own character. It is part of the fun, and you may request another participant to roll up a character, though you might have to wait if they aren't on.
- You may reroll the following once each before you start your character
- A skill set
- Armor piece
- 1 weapon
- You will head fourth choosing one skill set to use during your entire journey. The other 4 maybe used one time. Most players will opt to use a set in normal, nightmare, and 2 in Hell. You may opt to use them anyway you choose ( 2 in NM and 2 in Hell or 1 NM and 3 in Hell)
- You may not use a skill that is not part of your set unless it is a charged skill or passive on an item. (You can benefit from passive skillmods) **Shapeshifting to a form is allowed with 1 point to use an ability.
- Any pre-req skills for a non-set skill is allowed 1 point (example Double Swing is my skill, I can place 1 in bash to access it)
- Visit Akara prior to going to next difficulty to reset and prepare skill sets for NM or Hell. If you used the reset, wait until you clear Den in next difficulty, reset, and then use your next set of skills.
- Scoring, last but not least: 3 point for each act completed. If Single Pass +3 points at end of each difficulty.
