Problem with D2 music

This is the third time this has happened.

One day I exited a game and the music just stopped working in the menus. Zero sound.

I find that extremely irritating for some reason.

Does anyone know how to turn it back on? I checked my logs and there's an endscene failed message. Then a vertex buffer error. I assume this is all related. There's no ini file I can go tweak, do I have to reinstall AGAIN?

My fear is that this is symptomatic of my hard drive failing or something.

Did you try pressing Control + M? That's how you toggle on/off the music in the channels. It's possible you accidentally bumped these keys in your haste to do something else. Stranger things have happened. :laugh: If you're having trouble with sound once you make a game, check your sound and video cards. Anything else, non D2 related, weird going on with your PC?
