RL: nothing much. School started again for my girls, so the house/office is a lot less noicy.

D2: Time for Guthrie to meet Duriel today so he can move on in Three-Legged-Race. And then straight to Mephisto if he lives. Also need to figure out how do get that LRW thingie working because having an insight on my merc sounds like a great thing. And of course I need to update my progress with the race in a bit

RL: Bad mood day. Did some chores. Built some Lego (the new Blacksmith set).

D2: Some progress with my Bountyhunter Tournament Necromancer. He beat Nihlatak (no Snakes, phew! ) and had some close calls because I was out of practice with the character. It is so hard to try not to lose too much rejuvs (because they are restricted items and scarce) on one hand, but on the other hand don't let your merc die too often because 50k gold is a steep cost when you aren't allowed to pick up and sell most items...

Cubed up some gems and such to see what kind of equipment I am able to craft and crafted some stuff. Now I at least have 75% Fire and Lightning Resistance and 1.1k life. I am afraid of the Ancients though, because I really need my merc to survive in the fight. I myself won't be able to bring them down (well, at least without 100+ Mana potions...). I have to think of some strategy.

RL: WFH nothing new

D2: Really shaken by Rod Fergusson's tweet about the possibility of personal loot being implemented in D2R. I hope it's just PR and they aren't actually considering it.
Other than that I'm still trying to figure out how to install a SPF-approved copy of D2 with Ladder runewords + CPU fix + mouse FPS fix, if anyone has a guide I'm all ears.

OVG: Haven't been interested in anything but Diablo for a couple months now.

@BullHorn Don't know about anything to do with CPU or mouse tweaks, but the 2nd post of the sticked SPF & Communities thread has the files & instructions for the Rune Word Mod (RWM). It'll get you started. As for anything else, the SPF Technical Support Thread may be able to help. Best of luck!

RL: Toothache kicked my butt recently. Weirdness with work, both in the short- and long-term. I'll save you the eye strain -- not in the mood to really think about most of it myself. The most urgent issue is that I might have to spring for a new phone to meet a new work requirement as my current phone is too old to support the needed software. I don't want or need it otherwise, so I'm fighting to see if I can get the company to pay for at least part of it. Taking most of Friday off and Monday is a national holiday, so it'll be nice to get away even for a short while. Sleeping poorly, but that's nothing new.

D2: A little MP with Remedy during the weekends (he took home a Stormlash on Saturday!), and a little prep since then for the upcoming MFO. I am excite! With all my sleep issues, I'm starting to become very cognizant of my inability to stay awake for extended stints of play. I foresee heavy doses of coffee, e-drinks, ibuprofen, and a week-long upset tummy in my near future.

OVG: Still constantly running NGU Idle. A few hours of Rocket League with Remedy the last couple weeks. Picked up the slightly aged Idle Poker on Steam a week ago; I forgot how little I enjoy the combination of idlers and luck-based progression. I consider it closer to bad than good, but it's not terrible and pretty short so I'll finish it off out of principle.

Why is the OT on page 3 or 4?

Last week drove out to Chicago to buy some equipment for the company I am starting. Get it home, hook it up over the weekend and nothing, no boot. Have someone coming out on Wednesday to look at it, luckily free of charge because the thought of driving 15 hrs to Chicago there and back this week seems terrible.

Was going to do a soft-launch this weekend at a show, but looks like that'll be pushed back, then I remembered: Nothing is ever easy. There are always roadblocks. Every single time. Weather the storm and get it done is all I can do. Hopefully it is just a user error and not something more. I'll find out in less than 48.

RL: In the middle of installing a air handler in a attic, it sucks but at least its cooler now. Bought a house two weeks ago so have been slowly getting everything organized and figured out, happy with the house though, just need to get settled in.

D2: Up to act 4 NM with my trapsin and loving it, i never tried one before so its been great, loving the new game so far other then a few crashes i have had. Its getting late or i would keep playing, game is addictive as ever.

D2R: since the countess dropped literally tir and ral I took it as a sign and started my sorc. Future orbitaller just hit the cold plains waypoint. Been hoarding for her mana potions and have an eagle orb with +2 firebolt/warmth. Yep, back in the grind again (this time off switch, but probably getting a new laptop around Christmas so I can move to computer)

D2R: working on the frost zealot- moved to act iii. Moving assassin past Andy soon. Sorc is parked at lvl 21 for circlet gambling purposes until the assassin catches up. Then she’ll be parked.

OVG: back into ncaa football until season is over.

D2R: Started Nightmare with my untwinked javazon.

RL: Just passed 4.5 years sober. Back to work after 17 days off, I'm not a fan. D&D is going well, we've just started the final story arc in our 2.5yr campaign. Pro-wrestling is great.

D2R: My main goal in the game is to do the Ubers with TRM and maybe Pijus (fellow long-time SPFers), so it's mainly Cow runs with the BlizzSorc and CS runs with the Hammerdin. TRM and I team up on the weekends for Baal runs. Just missing Tal's orb to complete the set, I'm hoping my 48 War Travs and 37 Chancies will help.

OVG: Still dropping into Rocket League a few times a week. I just had a helluva run on Caves of Qud with a four-armed, four-legged swordsmith with a penchant for crafting, but I got ganked by a bear with a lightsabre and a jetpack, who was wearing incredibly shiny sandals. Just picked up a new roguelike called Jupiter Hell (basically DoomRL in a 3D engine) which is a lot of fun.

Been a long time since I posted in a similar thread but here goes.

RL: String of night shifts has me kind of perpetually tired and sleep deprivated. Coming up in two weeks is my specialist exam (Visceral Surgery) so that doesn't help either.

D2(R): No time to play but some deep scans of an old hard drive at my place could recover a lvl 70 Sorc at the start of Hell and her stash of mostly junk, but hey now I can repurpose her to CL/FO for some Countess/LK/Summoner runs in the near future.

RL: Went to a roleplaying game session yesterday. Wasn't in the mood at first (a rather constant thing the last few weeks), but then it was great No D&D though, but the German RPG "Das Schwarze Auge" ("The Dark Eye") which I have been playing for...*drumroll* 30 years now! I'm getting old, I guess...

Today will be "father-daughter time" with my 9 year old daughter. Guess what? She wants to play "Das Schwarze Auge" with me

D2: Progressed to the Palace in Act II Hell with my Random Necromancer. Had to dig up a 11 year old post from onderduiker to see how Iron Golem's damage calcuation works. Chose the wrong weapon apparently.

OVG: Nothing the last few weeks. Only managed Act I in DOS II so far (with 80 hours in - yes, I am a completionist ) and haven't played MTGA in weeks. Somehow the RNG shuffler made me more angry than I enjoyed the game. Not good for me, D2 is far more rewarding in that aspect

RL: been busy this week, a bit of holidays, a bit of friend's anniversary...So far so good!

D2: off from it since quite a while, but well...

OVG: D2R tournaments took the lead of my play. Hopefully I'll get back soon into it...maybe a quick session tonight (what did you expect, an other video game?!)

RL: Some free time this weekend - at last! Ordered some pizza because I was too lazy to cook today...

D2: Debating whether I should still do full clears with my random tournament Necro (still in Act II Hell, false tombs ahead) or just skip the full clears because it is very unlikely to find better gear and my skills are already maxed out...talking aout 30 hours more or so for full clears...

OVG: Rediscovered Grim Dawn - it is awesome! I don't know why I stopped playing some years back. It is actually one of the ARPGs that is quite like D2 in regards to gameplay. I am a bit overwhelmed by all the damage types and don't know how those play out, but all will be well, I guess #
Actually thinking about it, I think tournaments like in D2 would be possible for Grim Dawn, too. Anyone else playing the game or interested in it? There are such awesome resource sites where you can check if you completed all shrines, special chests etc. Quite awesom

RL: my tv burnt out on Friday. Got a new one Saturday (55 for 377). Quality isn’t bad at all.

D2R: maybe some today.

OVG: NCAA football 09/Pokémon sword. Waiting on them to fix the gta series before I get that and need to read some reviews on the remake of diamond/pearl before I get that. It’s kind of nice not having to get a next gen game system (switch is covering most of what I play) until the next college football game is out. Then all bets are off.

D2: Just LK running in legacy while listening to my jams. It feels cathartic.

OVG: 15-30 minute bursts of Serious Sam the Second Encounter to scratch my FPS itch.

RL: got free food for lunch at work. This is shaping up to be an expensive month on my credit card, as looking to go hunt for a laptop on Friday so I can get a copy of D2R for the computer. Also just bought the new gen 4 remakes for Pokémon.

D2R: not much lately, waiting on them to introduce p8 to console so I can level up some more.

OVG: Lots of Pokémon lately. Community day was yesterday, currently doing raids in sword to start a eevee themed Pokémon squad, also am going to start most likely diamond tonight as I’ve never played gen 4( stopped at gen 2).

D2R: restarted, amazing how much stuff drops on p8 compared to p1 when it’s introduced for us switch people. Now if they would only give us more stash pages for consoles……

OVG: still immersed in football/Pokémon. Doing a eevee evolution run in sword and looking for a houndoom in the underground in diamond.
