Skeleton Mastery without Raise Skeleton is not ideal..! And the RNG did not give you the best curse to work with. However, you will also have Revives, the potential for a very strong Iron Golem, Corpse Explosion, and pretty solid magic damage via Bone Spear/Spirit. Good luck!

edit: I am now wondering if I took the phrase "completely random" a bit too literally... Do you want me to re-roll the weapons to include a Wand, or any other weapon of your choice?

Completely random is perfect, thank you for generating everything so quickly. I agree with you, the magic damage looks great. I also get early and late game skills which is nice, should help things start off quickly.

Mine looks fun. Been wanting to play a nec for a while. Will get him started this afternoon.
 
Norman, the random Paladin, has started his adventure, but is still in A1. Holy Bolt is great, but I don't know how he is going to beat hell. For now, he is taking one step at a time and running countess for Stealth.

I also have a small update on my Zon: She is still very much alive (a small miracle! :ROFLMAO:) and just finished the Radament quest at level 16. I need a weapon upgrade pretty badly. Hoping to find a Composite Bow with open sockets sooner or later. A Maiden Spear will also be nice since I've got a point in Impale and can put a point into Fend at level 24. But for now I'm just sticking to a Composite Bow with Cold Arrow and regular arrows. Slow going but safe.

Thanks for rolling the necro! Corpse explosion and amp is a pretty great combo. I even get War Scythe for an act2 merc.

Nice job on still alive, too .:cool:

Grim is also surprisingly still alive. I’ve decided he’s going to commit seppuku whenever his minions and fire rogue stop damaging things. 6 skeletons are suprisingly tanky on p8. He’s in the black marsh, heading for tamoe highlands next, and level 16.75. As you can guess all his points are in raise skeleton with one in amp and 1 in iron maiden (he casts it for something to do while watching his army).

The Reckless has been able to finish normal and is currently doing countess runs on NM at lvl 40
Thx to the combo Bone spear/CE clearing is quite smooth until now. I suspect boss killing will be a hard task from now on since i have access to only one bone spear sinergy ; we will see
Since it's my first ever HC char, i'm glad I could finish one difficulty already

Just for future reference - normally we use the Weapons specified for completely random i.e.

Amazon (1)Bow and Javelin
Assassin (2)Claws and Swords
Barbarian (3)Swords and Axes
Druid (4)Axes and Polearms
Necromancer (5)Wand and Sword
Paladin (6)Scepter and Sword
Sorceress (7)Orb and Sword

Also I am surprised you don't like Dim Vision - it is one of my favourite curses on the Necro for CC

Thanks for the reminder. I realized my mistake after the fact.

Dim Vision is alright, and I agree it's good for crowd control. I'd make heavy use of it if it was the only curse I rolled. But if I had only one curse to work with and I could choose my favourite, I'd probably rather have Decrepify or Amp Damage :) (depending on what other skills I had to work with)
 
Bones, my necromancer, died in Act 1 Normal.
Can I have another random character with random weapons? Also how long can we continue making new characters as we die? Does the tournament have an end date?

Edit: He was level 14 and died in the barracks if that information is needed.

Agreed, there's no reason to use the defense skills here. Luckily it'll leave you enough points to switch between axe and sword mastery as you find weapon upgrades. Having both masteries available is solid.

Yeah, I also like the planning part quite a bit! Hope your careful planning pays off this time!

Oh, and it looks like I forgot they changed the synergies for Berserk from Shout to Battle Orders...so no synergies indeed. Leaves you plenty of room for masteries, Natural Resistance and the like. Maybe even go with Stun first and then respec later?
